The opportunity

Laborare Group is supporting the appointment of an experienced Corporate Sales Manager to drive commercial growth across the UK and European chemical markets.

This is a high-impact role focused on managing and developing relationships with large multinational chemical manufacturers while actively identifying and securing new business.

The successful candidate will take ownership of complex, multi-site and multi-country accounts, working across procurement, technical, commercial and operational functions to build profitable, long-term partnerships involving base chemicals and intermediates.

The role

As Corporate Sales Manager, you will combine strategic account management with genuine new-business development across the UK and Europe.

You will:

  • Manage and grow strategic multinational customer accounts across the UK and EU.
  • Develop senior relationships with major chemical manufacturers and their procurement, technical and commercial teams.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with a strong emphasis on profitable growth.
  • Manage complex, geographically dispersed accounts involving multiple sites, countries and business units.
  • Develop and execute account plans, sales strategies and customer-development programmes.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing and supply arrangements.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers and opportunities.
  • Coordinate opportunities across different countries and customer operations.
  • Work closely with supply-chain, operational, technical and commercial colleagues to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor market developments, competitor activity and emerging opportunities across the chemical industry.
  • Represent the business professionally at customer meetings, industry events and trade shows.

About you

You will be an established B2B chemical sales professional with a successful record of selling base chemicals, intermediates or related products to major chemical manufacturing organisations.

You will bring:

  • Proven sales experience within chemical distribution or chemical manufacturing.
  • Experience selling to large multinational chemical manufacturers or comparable complex organisations.
  • Demonstrable success managing major, geographically dispersed customer accounts.
  • A strong record of winning new business rather than working solely in account management.
  • Experience developing commercial relationships across multiple sites and countries.
  • The ability to navigate complex procurement and decision-making structures.
  • Strong commercial negotiation, influencing and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Fluent English and at least one additional European language.
  • The willingness and ability to travel regularly across the UK and EU.
  • A commercially entrepreneurial, self-motivated and hands-on approach.

What we offer

This appointment offers the opportunity to make a visible commercial impact within an international chemicals business while taking ownership of strategically important corporate accounts.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop business with major chemical manufacturers across the UK and Europe.
  • Manage complex, commercially significant multinational accounts.
  • Combine strategic account development with active new-business generation.
  • Influence account strategy, pricing and long-term customer development.
  • Work collaboratively across commercial, technical, operational and supply-chain functions.
  • Base yourself flexibly within the UK or European Union.

Location

The location is flexible within the UK or European Union. Regular travel across the UK and Europe will be required.

Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the country where they will be based. Visa or work-permit sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
