The opportunity

Laborare Group is partnering with a leading specialty chemicals company to appoint an experienced Sales Manager for the coatings and construction markets across the DACH region.

This is an opportunity for a commercially driven chemical sales professional to take ownership of business development across Germany, Austria and Switzerland—one of Europe’s most important specialty chemicals markets.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical and commercial understanding with the ability to develop new business, grow key customer accounts and build lasting relationships with manufacturers, formulators and other industrial customers.

The role

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth across the coatings and construction markets throughout the DACH region.

You will:

• Develop new business across coatings, construction chemicals and related industrial markets.
• Identify prospective customers, applications and commercial opportunities throughout the region.
• Build relationships with manufacturers, formulators and key industrial customers.
• Manage and develop existing strategic customer accounts.
• Promote specialty chemicals, additives and raw-material solutions, including resins, polymers and monomers.
• Understand customer applications and technical requirements to identify appropriate solutions.
• Develop and deliver account and territory plans that support sustainable revenue growth.
• Work closely with technical, product-management and commercial colleagues.
• Monitor market developments, competitor activity and emerging customer requirements.
• Maintain an active pipeline and provide accurate commercial forecasts.
• Represent the business at customer meetings and relevant industry events.

About you

You will be an experienced specialty chemicals sales professional with a strong understanding of the coatings, construction chemicals or closely related markets.

Ideally, you will have:

• Proven experience selling specialty chemicals, additives or raw materials.
• Knowledge of coatings, construction chemicals or related industrial applications.
• A strong network and understanding of the German coatings and construction market.
• Experience selling to manufacturers, formulators and key industrial customers.
• A successful record of new-business development and revenue growth.
• Strong technical and commercial understanding of specialty chemical applications.
• Experience managing and developing important customer accounts.
• The ability to operate strategically while remaining actively involved with customers and business development.
• Fluent German and English language skills.
• The willingness to travel across the DACH region as required.

Location

The position is based in Germany and covers the wider DACH region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Regional travel will be required.
