The opportunity
Laborare Group is supporting a leading global chemical company in the appointment of an experienced Sales Manager to drive commercial growth across the Benelux pharmaceutical market.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with an established pharmaceutical-industry network and a strong understanding of APIs, excipients and/or pharmaceutical intermediates.
The successful candidate will take ownership of customer development across Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, combining strategic account management with active new-business generation.
The role
As Sales Manager, you will develop and manage relationships with pharmaceutical customers throughout the Benelux region while identifying new opportunities and delivering sustainable sales growth.
You will:
- Develop and execute sales strategies across Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
- Manage and grow relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and other strategically important customers.
- Build relationships with key technical, procurement and commercial decision-makers.
- Identify, qualify and develop new-business opportunities.
- Sell APIs, excipients and/or pharmaceutical intermediates.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and initial engagement through to negotiation and account development.
- Develop territory and key-account plans aligned with commercial objectives.
- Work closely with technical, regulatory and commercial colleagues to deliver appropriate customer solutions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and changing customer requirements.
- Maintain an accurate and well-developed commercial opportunity pipeline.
- Achieve agreed sales, revenue and territory-development targets.
- Represent the business professionally at customer meetings and relevant industry events.
The position requires someone who can combine pharmaceutical-market knowledge with strong relationship development, commercial judgement and a proactive approach to winning business.
About you
You will be an established pharmaceutical or chemical-industry sales professional with the confidence and experience to take ownership of a strategically important regional market.
You will bring:
- Proven sales experience within the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
- Experience selling APIs, excipients and/or pharmaceutical intermediates.
- An established network within the Benelux pharmaceutical market.
- Strong business-development and account-management capabilities.
- A successful record of identifying and converting new commercial opportunities.
- Experience managing a complete and often technically complex sales cycle.
- Strong commercial negotiation, influencing and stakeholder-management skills.
- The ability to work effectively with technical, regulatory and commercial colleagues.
- Fluent English and professional fluency in either Dutch or French.
- The ability to work independently within a remote, home-based environment.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial and customer-focused approach.
- The willingness and ability to travel regularly across the Benelux region.

Location
This is a remote, home-based position within the Benelux region.
Regular travel across Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg will be required to develop customer relationships and commercial opportunities.
